Welcome to Bryn Vyrnwy Holiday Park
We are excited to annouce that we are now open to Caravan Owners whose accommedation is entirly self-contained (with own kitchen and bathroom). Please note the camping field will remain closed until futher notice, thank you.
Bryn Vyrnwy Holiday Park is a family owned and run beautiful holiday park set just half a mile east of the rural village of Llansantffraid Ym Mechain in the heart of Mid Wales. We are perfectly situated on the Shropshire - Powys border, between the medieval market town of Oswestry and the market town of Welshpool.
Bryn Vyrnwy has been a family farm for over 70 years. The holiday park has been created over the last 35 years with now five separate parks situated within 120 acres of beautiful countryside, an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by the rolling Shropshire and Welsh hills, within easy reach of our local village and town amenities and fantastic access to the stunning mid wales countryside and the Welsh coastal areas. Bryn Vyrnwy is still a working farm, you will see the cattle grazing, as well as Holly the horse and Samson the donkey who both love a carrot from our visitors!
The wonderful setting and location of Bryn Vyrnwy Holiday Park make it an idyllic place to enjoy the privacy and luxury of your very own static caravan holiday home away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We are open from Mid March to Early November, to welcome you, your family and friends to enjoy this beautiful countryside through spring, summer and well into autumn.
The village of Llansantffraid Ym Mechain has everything you need within half a mile. It offers three fantastic pubs/restaurants, an Indian takeaway restaurant, fish and chip takeaway, a Spar shop and Petrol station. Everything you might need within a very short distance whilst living in a pristine rural idyll.
The Park is maintained to a very high standard, with attention to detail being the utmost importance to the whole family. The Park is run by the Williams family, three generations of farmers and owners. Doug, Jan, their son Ed, his wife Sam and their two beautiful children Dougie and Frankie who will provide you with a very warm welcome to ensure your stay at Bryn Vrynwy is always enjoyable. You will often find Dougie helping his grandad mowing the grass, and Frankie helping her Dad move the cattle on the farm. They both love pottering around the park with their Grandma helping her with the gardening.
Nature and wildlife is so important to us, we keep a large variety of flower and shrub borders, well cut and tended grass, mature trees, traditional hedges, grassy banks and natural areas provide the ideal environment not only for wildlife to thrive, but for our holiday home owners and visitors to relax and unwind. Just a short walk from the park areas is the free-flowing River Vyrnwy which meanders along the boundary of our land, offering a varied habitat that is home to a rich array of flora and fauna. Fishing is also available on the river by request. This is Jan’s speciality, she has worked tirelessly to gain the David Bellamy gold conservation award, and when you visit, you will see why!
We cannot wait to welcome you to this beautiful part of the world.
